New Brighton Promenade Stages 2

So, the 'beam ran fine - no further fuelling problems (actually, the pump primes up about twice as quickly as it used to so perhaps the duff connections have been restricting current flow for some time).
The day was dull and cloudy, but no rain. Had a Ti, a Tiger and myself from ASOC, but also 2 members competing - 1 in an Avenger, in a Sunbeam Ti.
Malcolm Boyd (off at 59) was in spectacular form. His 'beam with Vauxhall Red Top 2litre motor and turretted shell with Ford Atlas axle was very quick and giving some Scoobies a bit of a fright. Plus, he must've be in line for the entertainer of the day award (if there is such a thing) as he chucked the car sideways at every opportunity.
My kids didn't like the noise at first (particularly the "gattling gun" anti-lag systems on the more expensive Scoobies) but soon got into it and enjoyed the day - walking the length of the prom twice whilst fuelled by ice cream. We also hit the beach at the end of the day, so some hoovering to do in the car now!
No more posts for a week - off to the states for work. Next weekend is a rally school day at the Higgins' school at Carno in mid-Wales. Should be a hoot.
