Two And A Half Years Later...

...and another post is posted.

Another case of "where did all that time go?".  To be honest, its been pretty quiet on the Sunbeam front, especially for anything worth blogging.  Have been focussing on a number of upgrades to the hifi in the last 18 months (its a long and careful process!) which has consumed my blogging time.  That and some cycling to report on (including London to Paris) and this blog has taken a back seat.

Hopefully I'll get around to a bit more content this year.

Here's the car at the 2012 Sunbeam Lotus Owners Club annual meeting at Gaydon Heritage Motor Centre which is a great venue.  A presentation from the chief engineer on the Lotus 900 series engine and a trip around the 4x4 track in the latest Discovery were the highlights of my day - oh, and the sunshine!  Picture courtesy of the Sunbeam Lotus Owners Club:

Here's a picture the car, taken after loading up all the camping gear and the kid's bikes, ready for the trip to the ASOC National Day 2012:

New battery required for Spring 2013 - managed to find a Numax 015 that fits nicely once you've sawn off the mounting lugs at each end, and have replaced the braided hoses from the fuel pump to the carbs and between the carbs when one started leaking due to a split where it joined the front carb.  Other than that, just an oil change required, after replacing all the plugs and leads late Summer 2012.  Now all we need is lots of decent weather to enjoy the car more.
