A Quiet Month (sort of) - August 2008

Due to family holiday to North Devon, August was a quiet month for the Sunbeam, even if it wasn't in North Devon. Howling gales and torrential rain for most of the 2 weeks. Only 3 days on the beach and even one of those was showery. Kids didn't seem to mind in their wet suits!

So a couple of runs out to local events and up into the hills on a few dry evenings and that was about it. There were a couple of evenings of heavy bug life which meant some cleaning to do. Hardly eventful eh?

I notice that the tyres are getting tired (sorry!). They're super soft compound Yokohama A032Rs and they've done about 2,500 miles including a couple of track days, so, for their type, they've done pretty well. There's probably one more track day's worth of use out of them yet. They've been great and work extremely well when they get a little bit of temperature in them, so I'll probably replace them with the same or equivalents.
